Living Wage In 2015 Lidl were the first nationwide retailer in Ireland and Northern Ireland to introduce the Living Wage for all entry level store and warehouse employees. 30-hour Contracts Like many retail businesses, a high proportion of our employees are on part-time contracts, approximately 70% in Ireland and Northern Ireland, for a variety of reasons from flexibility to operational requirements. In 2019, all our store and warehouse employees will be offered contracts with a minimum of 30 hours to facilitate employees’ changing needs. Operations and Processes 1% Resources and Agriculture Supply Chain and Processing Permanent Part of head count, with no predefined end date of employment. Fixed Term Part of head count, with a predefined end date of employment. Full Time Employees with a minimum of 39hrs stated in their contract. All full time contracts adhere to the Organisation of Working Time Act, 1997 for Ireland and The Working Time Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2016. Part-Time Employees with less than 39hr contracts. All full time contracts adhere to the Organisation of Working Time Act, 1997 for Ireland and The Working Time Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2016. Lidl does not and never has utilised any zero-hour contracts.
